Welcome

Are you looking for a warm, experienced counsellor who will support you and offer you space to explore whatever is on your mind at your own pace? I have many years experience supporting a wide range of clients and offer face-to-face counselling from two locations in Bristol as well as online.

Whatever it is that you are experiencing, I will see you as a human rather than a list of problems to be solved - but it can be helpful to know some of the areas I have experience of working with - these include: anxiety, depression, loss, trauma, bereavement, low self-esteem, relationship issues, loneliness, stress, postnatal depression, pregnancy and birth trauma.

Get in touch with me and we can arrange a free 10 minute chat so you can find out more and book your first session. â€‹â€‹

Working With Me

The relationship I develop with my clients sits at the heart of the healing process. You are the expert on your own life so my role is not to advise or to ‘problem-solve’ but to listen, understand and support you. I want to help you to tap into your own wisdom and find your way forward through whatever is troubling you.

People I work with regularly comment on how helpful it is to talk to someone outside their usual circles and of the release they feel when they say things out loud to someone who listens intently and helps them to explore things in a way they haven’t done before. Very often we can find that things that have seemed impossible, overwhelming or stuck can unravel and become lighter and clearer through the process of sharing and being carefully listened to.

I'm an integrative counsellor which means that I am influenced by a wide range of approaches and theories and I also draw inspiration from all sorts of places and people. The core of my approach is based on the 'Person Centred' counselling model developed by Carl Rogers.

I am passionate about working safely with trauma and draw on somatic approaches that focus on where trauma shows up in the body. I'm an LGBTQI+ friendly therapist and have experience of working with neurodivergence.

In our work together I will:

  • listen to you with respect, warmth and without judgment

  • reflect on patterns that emerge and guide you to explore these in more depth

  • offer you a safe space to process painful or traumatic experiences and reconnect with joy

  • help you to develop a clearer understanding of yourself, your ways of being in the world and what you want from life

  • encourage you to tune in to your body

  • offer you a safe relationship where you can express your feelings and be really heard
